While Cass didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Dalton Catamounts on Tuesday as the Cass Colonels made off with an 8-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Colonels in their matchups with the Catamounts: they've now won six in a row.

Cass pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Dalton, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Cass will have a chance to go back-to-back against Dalton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
