They came out on top against Lake Lure Classical Academy by a score of 72-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Lure Classical Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Da'Zirus Watkins. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with six assists and three steals. Watkins is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Justin Barker, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Veritas Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.
