Bella Vista has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Vacaville Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
With a playoff game on the line, Bella Vista rose to the challenge on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bruins a 3-0 shutout. Give Bella Vista's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.
They hit Bear Creek with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Regan Silvers,
Winter Kessler, and
Victoria Cichosz.
Meanwhile, Vacaville entered their tilt with West with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. Everything went Vacaville's way against West on Saturday as Vacaville made off with a 7-0 victory. Given Vacaville's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while West is ranked 441st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bella Vista has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4-2 record this season. As for Vacaville, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2-2.
