The Central Dauphin Rams had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Manheim Township out 37-34. That's another feather in the cap for Central Dauphin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Central Dauphin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayla Fletcher led the charge by scoring ten points along with three steals. Fletcher set a new season high mark in blocks with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Green, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Central Dauphin pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Manheim Township, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-1.
Central Dauphin will head out on the road to face off against Harrisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Harrisburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 586th, while Central Dauphin is ranked 60th). As for Manheim Township, they will play host again and welcome J.P. McCaskey, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on January 5th.
