Two dominant guards in Iyanna Wade and Emma Larkin are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Clairton Bears will challenge the Geibel Catholic Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Clairton comes in on five and Geibel Catholic on seven.
Clairton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 91-57 win over Monessen. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-20.

Wade continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 60 points. The match was her 39th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was K Fuqua, who posted 21 points.
Meanwhile, Geibel Catholic didn't have too much trouble with West Greene on Saturday as they won 52-35.
Clairton better keep an eye on Larkin. She was instrumental in Geibel Catholic's win, going 11 of 21 en route to 33 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Larkin has scored at least a third of Geibel Catholic's points. Ava Henderson was another key player, posting nine points and six rebounds.
Geibel Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Clairton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Geibel Catholic, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Clairton and Geibel Catholic are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Clairton hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 65.8 points per game. However, it's not like Geibel Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 57.6 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Clairton strolled past Geibel Catholic in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 67-51. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Larkin, who went 15 for 27 on her way to 36 points along with seven boards and six steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Clairton still be able to contain Larkin? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
