The Riverview Raiders won the last time they faced the Jeannette Jayhawks, and things went their way on Monday too. Riverview came out on top against Jeannette by a score of 36-26.
Despite the loss, Jeannette still got an impressive performance from Navarah Smith, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriana Allison, who scored five points.
Riverview's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Jeannette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverview's road trip will continue as they head out to face Penn Hills at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Jeannette, they will square off against Hillel Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hillel Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
