Randolph-Clay hasn't had much luck against Terrell County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Tuesday just wasn't the day for Randolph-Clay's offense. They came up short against Miller County on Tuesday, falling 17-0.
Meanwhile, Terrell County got themselves on the board against Mitchell County on Wednesday, but Mitchell County never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Greenwave.
Ja'Corey Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season.
In other batting news, Cordarel Small was incredible, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025. Decedric Powell was another key player, earning two runs and three stolen bases.
Terrell County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Randolph-Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Terrell County, their win bumped their record up to 2-13.
