On Friday, Mora put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They put the hurt on Moose Lake/Willow River with a sharp 51-30 victory. Mora were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
The contest started off well for Mora, whose offense put up 24 first-half points. Moose Lake/Willow River countered with 16 points, leaving the score at 24-16 going into the half. Mora put the contest away in the third quarter with 20 points from the offense and six points allowed from the defense. The win bumped their record up to 5-0. The defeat dropped Moose Lake/Willow River's record to 3-2.
Next week Mora take on Pine City at 7:00 PM. Mora are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Pine City are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses. Moose Lake/Willow River will stay at home against Crosby-Ironton at 7:00 PM.
