Football Recap: North Posey Skates Past Forest Park with Ease

North Posey came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Forest Park Rangers 42-7. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0.

North Posey found their leader in sophomore Bret Buecher, who rushed for 175 yards and three scores while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Carter Schickel was another key player, throwing for 156 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

North Posey was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

North Posey's record now sits at 6-1. As for Forest Park, their loss dropped their record down to 3-4.

Coming up, North Posey will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Forest Park, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tell City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers will be up against the Marksmen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
