The Apex Friendship Patriots will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Corinth Holders Pirates  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Both come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Apex Friendship is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Seaforth. Everything went Apex Friendship's way against Seaforth on Wednesday as Apex Friendship made off with  a  14-3 victory. The  win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won three in a row.
 Sydney Joyce made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. Joyce was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kaylee Marquis and  Cheyenne Christman did most of the damage at the plate:  Marquis  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3, while  Christman  went 2-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  Christman has posted since back in April of 2024.  Hannah Parker was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
Meanwhile, Corinth Holders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  8-6  victory over South Johnston  on Friday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Pirates.
  Rachel Miura was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Pyper Vardy, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
