Oakland Tech had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They took down the Central Grizzlies 52-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Oakland Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Terri'A Russell, who posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jhai Johnson, who earned 15 points.

When it comes to explaining why Central lost, don't look at Zyraeis Murphy. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 12 en route to 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. Murphy is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last seven games she's played. Chyna Roland was another key player, putting up seven points.

Oakland Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5.

Oakland Tech and Central should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Oakland Tech will challenge Skyline at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 466 places (79 vs. 545). Oakland Tech is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Similarly, Central (ranked 31st) will meet Clovis North (ranked 254th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakland Tech is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season.
