Panther Valley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the North Schuylkill Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Panther Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
Panther Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 24 points or more this season. They really took it to Palisades for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-28 victory at home.
Maddison Maynard and Morgan Orsulak were among the main playmakers for Panther Valley as the former scored 19 points along with three steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Maynard's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Vermillion, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, North Schuylkill strolled past Blue Mountain with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 48-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Schuylkill.
Panther Valley's record now sits at 5-2. As for North Schuylkill, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Panther Valley suffered a grim 78-58 defeat to North Schuylkill when the teams last played back in January. Can Panther Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
