The softball season is on hold for the most part across the country. While we wait out and hope that the COVID-19 virus outbreak gets contained and spring sports can eventually continue on, we take a look at some of the top players around the country who were off to hot starts to the 2020 season.
In states like Texas, many teams have already played 20 games or more. While in other states the season was just beginning or not even started yet.

Aguirre leads all Class of 2020 pitchers with 19 wins. She has a 0.92 ERA and has struck out 149 batters.

Los Alamitos (Calif.) (10-0)

Position: SS
Belarde is one of many reasons Los Alamitos is ranked No. 3 in the country. She has a hit in seven of her 10 games.
Raegan BreedloveHigh School:
Central Valley (Shasta Lake, Calif.) (4-0-1)
College: Oregon
Position: P/1B
Breedlove has a 0.00 ERA with two no hitters, a perfect game. She's struck out 65 batters in 25 innings and is batting .545.
Mia CantuHigh School:
Klein Collins (Spring, Texas) (9-6)

Cantu has a hit in all 15 games to start the season.

Sophia and Aris are twin sisters who excel at Shadow Ridge. Sophia has a .444 average while sister Aris is hitting .360.

Caudill is hitting .500. She's struck out 72 in 38 innings pitched.

Coleman has over a .700 career batting average during her four years. This season is no different. She has at least two hits in 13 of the 17 games. Coleman has an incredible .740 average.

Davidson is batting .500 and has not surrendered a run for the No. 1 team in the country.

Neal already has eight home runs on the young season. She has also struck out 61 batters in 31 innings pitched.

Netz joined Ironwood Ridge for her senior season and the Nighthawks are glad she did. The senior is batting .428 with two home runs. She also stuck 31 batters in 21 innings in the circle.
