Meanwhile, after soaring to 26 runs the game before, Mammoth was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against Kern Valley, falling 15-2. The Huskies have struggled against the Broncs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
Bishop Union's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Mammoth, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
Everything went Bishop Union's way against Mammoth in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as Bishop Union made off with a 23-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
