Kaleb Fox Delivers Best  Effort of Season
 On Friday, Marshfield got the W thanks in part to  Kaleb Fox playing the best football he has all season. Fox rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
 Marshfield moved to 1-5 with that  victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. Fox and Marshfield will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Hidden Valley  at 7:15  p.m.

Baldwin Came Up Big in Mazama's  34-7  Victory
 Winning always takes teamwork, but  on Friday  Kristopher Baldwin stepped things up a notch to give Mazama the 'W'. Baldwin turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 242 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
 The  win  got Mazama back to even at 3-3. Baldwin and Mazama will face off against North Bend on Friday.

A Season-Best  Performance from  Hadyn Widdicombe Leads Marshfield over Ashland
  Hadyn Widdicombe produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Marshfield to the win  on Friday. Widdicombe picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 72 yards.
 For the season,  Widdicombe  has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 48 receiving yards per game.

Lucas Folau Puts an End to Marshfield's Losing Streak  on Friday
 Thanks in part to  Lucas Folau, Marshfield said goodbye to their six-game losing streak  dating back to last season. Ashland had no answer to  Folau  on Friday as he picked up  two  sacks, forced a fumble,  and made seven total tackles. Folau is  on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made six or more in the last four games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Ashland's probably not too fond of  Folau given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time  Folau saw the Grizzlies), he picked up  two  sacks, forced a fumble,  and made five total tackles.

Brody Van Gastel Makes It Two for Mazama
 The second Mazama player making an appearance here is  Brody Van Gastel, and for good reason. He rushed for 62 yards, and also threw for 62 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  making four total tackles and defending a pass.
 This season,  Van Gastel  has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 80.5 passing yards per game.
