The Riverside Prep Silver Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Quartz Hill Royals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Riverside Prep beats Quartz Hill with 22 runs on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Everything went the Silver Knights' way against Big Bear on Thursday as they made off with a 22-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Silver Knights, who have now won four contests in a row.

Ethyn Beltran was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Andrew Logsdon was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Riverside Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. They are 10-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Quartz Hill got themselves on the board against Antelope Valley on Friday, but Antelope Valley never followed suit. They blew past the Antelopes 14-0. Winning may never get old, but the Royals sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Parker White made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
In other batting news, Hector Anaya and Maddox Farrell did most of the damage at the plate: Anaya went 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and one run, while Farrell went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Farrell has become a key player for Quartz Hill: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 9-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jason Cowan, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Riverside Prep's record is now 15-7. As for Quartz Hill, their record now sits at 13-10.
Saturday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Riverside Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .491. However, it's not like Quartz Hill struggles in that department as they've averaged .487. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
