Redwood Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Waterville-Elysian-Morristown with a 22-18 win. That result is just more of the same for Redwood Valley, who also won the last time these teams played. This was the first game for both teams, giving Redwood Valley a 1-0 record and starting Waterville-Elysian-Morristown off at 0-1.
Redwood Valley will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Blue Earth at 7:00 PM. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial next week at 7:00 PM.
