Javier Alfaro III was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Mt. Eden has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like San Lorenzo struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Mt. Eden took their win against San Lorenzo in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-4 score. Do the Monarchs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Grizzlies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
