Nathan Hale (Seattle) is going to be tough to beat for MaxPreps National Player of the Year honors.
The 6-foot-10 senior forward has lifted Nathan Hale from a 3-18 team a year ago to 21-0 this season, ranked No. 1 nationally by MaxPreps.
Porter is averaging 37.6 points, 14.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game with scoring performances of 52, 51 and 46 along the way.
He put up 36 points against storied Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) in a masterful performance at the Spalding Hoophall Classic last month.
