This season hasn't been kind to the Douglas Byrd Eagles, who are still winless after their 17th game. They were the victim of a  rough 57-36 loss at the hands of Jack Britt  on Friday. Douglas Byrd has struggled against Jack Britt recently, as their  matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
 Loss or not, Douglas Byrd got some senior leadership from  Darnell Hinson and  Renmari Willis.  Hinson  scored 14 points along with three  steals, while  Willis.  scored nine points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals.
 Douglas Byrd  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only three  assists. They  were crushed by their opponents in that department as Jack Britt  racked up 12  assists.
 Jack Britt was led to victory by  Michael Tubbs and  Tysean Major.  Tubbs  scored nine points along with 16  rebounds and three  steals, while  Major  scored 15 points along with five  steals. Major hasn't dropped below two  steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jayvien Richardson, who  scored six points along with five  steals.
 Douglas Byrd's loss was  their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Jack Britt, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 12 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
 Douglas Byrd will head out on the road to  face off against  South View at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. South View presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Douglas Byrd in North Carolina (South View is ranked 243rd, while Douglas Byrd is ranked 652nd). As for Jack Britt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lumberton at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hopefully Lumberton focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
