Mid Valley is 9-1 against Old Forge since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 2:00 p.m. Mid Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Mid Valley came out on top against Dunmore on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Bucks. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.
Ava Hazelton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Ariana Davey was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Angela Laskowski, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mid Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Old Forge narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Naples 5-3.
Old Forge also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Kamryn Notari gave up three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Arnold, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Juliette DeStefano, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
The victory got Old Forge back to even at 1-1. As for Mid Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Everything went Mid Valley's way against Old Forge in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Mid Valley made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
