After two games on the road, Orange Cove is heading back home. They will take on the Coalinga Horned Toads at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Orange Cove, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-17 loss to Sanger West.
Meanwhile, Coalinga put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Orosi 61-22 at home. Fans of Coalinga have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coalinga to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaelyn Bourdeau, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Love, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals.
The losses dropped Orange Cove to 0-2 and Sanger West to 2-4.
Orange Cove was dealt a bruising 74-38 defeat at the hands of Coalinga in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. Thankfully for Orange Cove, Karissa "Sissa" Jordan (who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
