Basketball Recap: Pacheco Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pacheco can now relate to. They fell 52-39 to the Fairfield Falcons on Tuesday.

Despite the defeat, Pacheco saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mary Tava posted 13 points and eight rebounds. Tava has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 20 times she's played. Sasha Siemiller was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with ten points and nine boards.

Pacheco's loss dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Fairfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Pacheco does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairfield, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-25 defeat against Colfax on the 20th.
