Milpitas extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-6. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gunn Titans. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Titans from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.
Cole Carino was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Brandon King was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Gunn, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games.
On Gunn's side, Adrian Lee made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Lee was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Seve Noh was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anders Lo, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Milpitas will take on MacDonald at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Condor have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.33 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Gunn, they will face off against Lynbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
