With a playoff win on the line, South Dearborn rose to the challenge on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Franklin County Wildcats 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in April, they had to take a 4-2 loss.

Tyeler Gulden was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

Gulden wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alex Probst, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

South Dearborn's record is now 9-16. As for Franklin County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

As of now, neither South Dearborn nor Franklin County have any future games scheduled.
