Alex DeCarlo and Josiah Rich were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, DeCarlo pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Rich tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). At the plate, DeCarlo went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Rich went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Rich is becoming a predictor of Drew Charter's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-6 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Kamden Bennett and Tim Whitaker did most of the damage at the plate: Bennett scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Whitaker scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Drew Charter is undefeated when Whitaker posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Karlos Crane, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
