The Covington-Douglas Wildcats fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Dover Longhorns on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 49-47. Covington-Douglas can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their three games.
Covington-Douglas' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ford Smith, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Derrek Daugherty, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Covington-Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Dover, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covington-Douglas will take on Coyle at 8:00 p.m. on December 14th. As for Dover, they will be playing at home against Garber at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
