It was fun while it lasted, but Pinecrest Academy's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Monday. They fell just short of the Lakeview Academy Lions by a score of 5-4. The loss put an end to the Paladins' undefeated start to the season.

Liam McCavitt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Mateo Snyder also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pinecrest Academy fell to 7-1. As for Lakeview Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinecrest Academy will host Hearts Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hearts Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Pinecrest Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lakeview Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cristo Rey Atlanta at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
