The Foothill Knights's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 48-38 win over Tesoro. This was payback for Foothill, who suffered a 83-53 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading Foothill to victory were Jay Perez and Charlotte Fajardo. Perez dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Fajardo scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for Fajardo. The team also got some help courtesy of Maleah Paige, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Tesoro, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Foothill will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on United Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th. Tesoro won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fountain Valley at 6:15 p.m. on December 13th. Fountain Valley will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
