Sequatchie County has not had much luck with South Pittsburg recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Sequatchie County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Beckham Mckendrick, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dante Haman, who scored two points along with five rebounds.
Sequatchie County has not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season. As for South Pittsburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.
Sequatchie County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-46 defeat vs. Brainerd on the 9th. South Pittsburg has also already played their next matchup, a 65-55 loss against Van Buren County on the 9th.
