The Pirates now possess a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Van Buren County for a 1A District 6 battle on Friday, February 9. South Pittsburg will confront a Eagles team coming off a 59-52 non-league loss to Bledsoe County (Pikeville, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 9-7.
The Indians (12-14) will now prepare for their battle against Brainerd (Chattanooga, TN). The Panthers come into the 2A District 4 battle with a 9-12 record. In their last battle, Brainerd trounced Bledsoe County (Pikeville, TN), 95-61, in a league battle.
