After a string of three wins, the Dorchester Longhorns's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 51-31 defeat at the hands of McCool Junction. Dorchester has not had much luck with McCool Junction recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
McKenna Yates continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for McCool Junction, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Yates has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times she's played. Natalie Clark was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Dorchester's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for McCool Junction, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Dorchester will be playing in front of their home fans against East Butler at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McCool Junction, McCool Junction and Cross County will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cross County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
