The West Allegheny Indians suffered their biggest loss since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 63-39 defeat at the hands of Lincoln Park Performing Arts. While losing is never fun, West Allegheny can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while Lincoln Park Performing Arts is ranked 15th).
Lincoln Park Performing Arts had a senior duo take command as Jla Kizart scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and six steals and Maddie Syka scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Kizart is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Sincere Conley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists.
West Allegheny has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Lincoln Park Performing Arts, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.
West Allegheny will head out on the road to face off against Montour at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Montour is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Lincoln Park Performing Arts will take on South Fayette at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
