Having just played yesterday, the Rancho Mirage Rattlers will jump right back in to play the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Rancho Mirage is hoping to put an end to a 12-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-4, which was the final score in Rancho Mirage's tilt against Brawley on Thursday. Rancho Mirage was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-2.
Meanwhile, Desert Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Yucca Valley on Thursday and lost 52-36. While losing is never fun, Desert Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while Yucca Valley is ranked 218th).
Rancho Mirage's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Desert Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5-1.
Rancho Mirage suffered a grim 35-12 defeat to Desert Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Rancho Mirage was down 27-4.
