The Notre Dame Spirits were the 38-33 winner over the North Monterey County Condors when they last played one another on January 4th, but their luck changed this time around. Notre Dame fell 41-29 to North Monterey County on Monday. Notre Dame has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Spirits players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Francesca Rossi, who scored eight points along with two steals. Rossi has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aalyssah HuiHui-Martinez, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
Notre Dame has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for North Monterey County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Notre Dame will be playing in front of their home fans against Marina at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Monterey County, they will head out on the road to take on Pajaro Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
