Civic Memorial hasn't had much luck against Mascoutah recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will welcome the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Civic Memorial barely beat Gibault Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Hawks on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted against the Hawks since April 26, 2018.

Meanwhile, Mascoutah had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against the Midgets.

Civic Memorial might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Mascoutah in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
