The Dunsmuir Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a  41-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tulelake. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Dunsmuir of the  57-31 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture  back in December of 2023.
 Despite the loss, Dunsmuir still got an impressive performance from   Cyla Clemens, who  scored 19 points along with eight  steals and six  rebounds. That was a full 61.3% of Dunsmuir's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Abby Powell, who  scored eight points along with 12  rebounds and two  blocks.
 Tulelake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Alejandra Perez led the charge by  scoring four points along with eight  rebounds and eight  blocks. Another player making a difference was  Mareli Hernandez, who  scored eight points along with three  steals and two  blocks.
 Dunsmuir's defeat was  their third straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.3 points per game. As for Tulelake, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
 Dunsmuir will head out on the road to  square off against  Surprise Valley at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Tulelake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Butte Valley at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
