Thousand Oaks gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Moorpark Musketeers out 4-3. The Lancers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Musketeers, too.

Thousand Oaks' victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Denten Tetzlaff, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Omar Heredia was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Thousand Oaks hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moorpark struck out ten times.

Coming up, Thousand Oaks will face off against Poly at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Moorpark, they will take on Culver City in a tournament on Wednesday.
