The Red Lion Lions entered their tilt with the Shippensburg Greyhounds with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Red Lion managed a 58-54 victory over Shippensburg on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Red Lion also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Red Lion to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julia Sedora, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Brooke Carr was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Red Lion is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Shippensburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
Red Lion and South Western will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. South Western presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Red Lion in Pennsylvania (South Western is ranked 94th, while Red Lion is ranked 311th). As for Shippensburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Perry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
