Bishop Union has won seven straight games at home, while California City has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Broncos will welcome the Ravens at 3:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bishop Union gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Desert with a sharp 16-4 win.

Will Kemp was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with three runs and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mike Trejo, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Karson Hohenstien was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Bishop Union always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Desert only posted an OBP of .370.
Meanwhile, California City never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past Mammoth 13-0. The Ravens have beaten the Huskies the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Huskies has come to flipping the script.
Like Bishop Union, California City also got a great game from a two-way player: Aaroon Moreno. Throwing, Moreno didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Kole Hightower tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Moreno went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI, while Hightower went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, California City got a massive performance out of Joshua Baiza, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Baiza has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Hightower, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.
Bishop Union has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for California City, their win bumped their record up to 17-9-1.
Both Bishop Union and California City just can't seem to miss. The Broncos have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.2 hits per game. However, it's not like California City struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
