If the Walnut Mustangs were feeling good off their 51-29 takedown of the South Hills Huskies last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Walnut took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conquerors. Walnut was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Conquerors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Walnut still got an impressive performance from Maileeh Suasti, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Florinalaulaau Liufau was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Walnut's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Los Altos, they pushed their record up to 14-12 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Walnut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Los Altos also has no future games currently scheduled.
