Football Recap: Creekview Piles Up the Points Against Polytechnic

Creekview won against Irving last Friday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Mustangs blew past the Polytechnic Parrots, posting a 49-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Parrots: they've now won three in a row.

Cason Garcia had a dynamite game, throwing for 183 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Tay Evans was in the mix too, providing Creekview with two scores.

Creekview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Chibundu Eke and Anthony Perez. Creekview got some further help from Marcel Davis: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles.

Creekview's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Polytechnic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Creekview will take on Sunset at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Polytechnic, they will face off against Saginaw at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Parrots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
