Spencer is 0-5 against Carver since February of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Spencer Greenwave will head out on the road to challenge the Carver Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Spencer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.

Spencer will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Kendrick on Friday. Spencer was the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over Kendrick.

Caylen Brunsen was a standout: he scored three runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Elijah Fudge was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Six bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Spencer was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Carver unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 37-34 to Sumter County on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The win got Spencer back to even at 2-2. As for Carver, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Spencer couldn't quite get it done against Carver in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 as they fell 10-7. Can Spencer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
