Southampton put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with an 80-73 win over the Arcadia Firebirds. While the Indians didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Despite the loss, Arcadia still got an impressive performance from Ryhiem Pettit, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Pettit is becoming a predictor of Arcadia's success: when he posts at least ten boards the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Zach Giddens was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.
Southampton's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Arcadia, they moved to 3-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
