The Los Banos Tigers were the 45-32 winner over the Ceres Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Los Banos took a 38-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Los Banos has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ceres' win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marissa Renteria, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Renteria pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Arrayah Stallworth, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Los Banos dropped their record down to 15-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Ceres, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-7.
Los Banos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Pacheco is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Ceres, they will head out on the road to challenge the Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Davis has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 8.
