Northern Cambria is still winless after their match against Conemaugh Valley on Tuesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays. One positive for the Colts, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Conemaugh Valley found their leader in freshman Gwen Masser, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Masser has scored all season. Madison McCleester was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Northern Cambria's record now sits at 0-9. As for Conemaugh Valley, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Cambria will welcome Homer-Center at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Conemaugh Valley, they will host Marion Center at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
