In what's become a running theme this season, the Northwestern Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 50-22 victory over North East at home. Winning may never get old, but Northwestern sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Northwestern found their leader in underclassman Makayla Presser-Palmer, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Presser-Palmer has scored at least a third of Northwestern's points. Rylee Schwartz was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Northwestern is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for North East, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Eisenhower the next time they take the court. Northwestern will head out to face Eisenhower at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while North East will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
