After flying high against the Huntingdon Bearcats last Friday, the Penn Cambria Panthers came back down to earth. Penn Cambria suffered a tough 64-44 loss at the hands of the Hilltoppers on Monday. Penn Cambria has not had much luck with the Hilltoppers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makenna Mccoy, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Reagan Ronan, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Penn Cambria's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9. As for Westmont Hilltop, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penn Cambria will stay at home for another game and welcome the Crushers at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. Westmont Hilltop will take on the Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Forest Hills is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
