After two games on the road, Cleveland is heading back home. They will take on the Los Angeles CES Unicorns at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Cleveland kept a clean sheet against Chatsworth. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over the Chancellors. Given Cleveland's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Chatsworth is ranked 625th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cleveland hit Chatsworth with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from

Amber Ramirez, and
Julia Isaacs.
Meanwhile, with a playoff game on the line, Los Angeles CES rose to the challenge on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Knights 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for Los Angeles CES as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Cleveland's victory bumped their record up to 14-4-4. As for Los Angeles CES, their win bumped their record up to 9-6-1.
Cleveland came out on top in a nail-biter against Los Angeles CES when the teams last played back in February of 2022, sneaking past 1-0. Will Cleveland repeat their success, or does Los Angeles CES have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
