Petaluma is 8-2 against American Canyon since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Trojans will take on the Wolves in a tournament on Tuesday. Petaluma is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
Petaluma came out on top against Sonoma Valley on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Trojans blew past the Dragons 12-4. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Rowan Ball, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Gaidmore, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Petaluma hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sonoma Valley struck out 14 times.
Justin-Siena typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday American Canyon proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Braves.
Dylan Brown made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. American Canyon is 5-2 when Brown allows one or fewer earned runs, but 6-11 otherwise. Brown was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Matias Garcia and Royce Hall did most of the damage at the plate: Garcia went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Hall went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Hall has become a key player for American Canyon: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Andre Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
American Canyon's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-13. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Petaluma, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.
Everything went Petaluma's way against American Canyon when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Petaluma made off with an 18-1 win. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
